A long time ago, I released an EP. And it was bad. And I realized this and pulled it from Bandcamp. Most of the songs from there made it on to "Beginning of the End", but 2 or 3 of them didn't ever see the light of day. This one is the exception.
lyrics
You look so adoringly up at him when you embrace, you always lose track of time
And when you're sitting alone and silence fills your ears, wait for him to say his lines
On the way back to his place, you worry, "What will I do next?"
You're just along for the ride
And do you stop and wonder what happens when the lights are out?
More painful dark romancing and losing ways to explain
Your hands lock just outside, and you run through the door again, with different motives this time
He drags you into the room, his fingers brushing your skin
Oh God, will this ever end?
He slips off her dress
And throws her on the bed
I wish all this would end
He's stealing all my hopes right now and taking them to bed with him
He's crushing all my hopes right now by getting into bed with her
And do you stop and wonder what happens when the lights are gone?
More wishing that you were mine
You know I stop and wonder what happens when I realize
